Job Description

The Communications Manager, R&D QA Analytics, Center of Excellence (ACE) supports and manages all internal RDQA communication activities and external communications to our stakeholders supporting Leadership in content development and management of information. They are able to express creative ideas and have a keen eye for detail that can serve as a strategic communications advisor, execute tactics and project plans effectively,   They have experience partnering with other corporate functions and stakeholders on business and change management communications, strategic roadmapping and messaging as well as employee engagement efforts. The role will report to the Head of Analytics center of Excellence (ACE).  They may also support management and tracking of ACE staff and portfolio resource needs.

 

 

This role will focus on managing/creating internal communications.  Supporting leadership team with creating marketing/decks/communication for Vertex employees as well as organizing communication materials for the team.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to inform, educate and engage RDQ employees around areas important to their experience at Vertex (i.e., special initiatives and learning and development to internal systems and more).
  • Support/facilitate preparing VP and RDQA Leadership Team (RDQLT) presentations, talking points, speeches, briefings, etc. on strategic and tactical issues for key meetings and events.
  • Collaborate with RDQ leadership team to set communications objectives each year; attend leadership meetings to ensure communications objectives are met.
  • Partner with key critical stakeholders to take company engagement survey feedback and develop/execute improvement plans.
  • Ensure alignment of communications tactics with RDQ goals and objectives.
  • Support day-to-day management of employee and LT communications including writing, editing, content production, and serving as internal communications and content advisor using communications and content management best practices.
  • Support the Information Management governance and RDQ Site Management team.
  • Support key RDQ communications events (ex: Presentations to the SQLT or EC, Town Halls, Lunch & Learns) including identifying topics, scheduling speakers, and gathering/evaluating feedback.
  • Partner with RDQ learning team in several areas, including RDQ resource management and tracking and new hire onboarding program, writing/narrating training scripts as needed, providing communications support and guidance for learning initiatives and overall employee education and awareness.
  • Manage annual RDQ communications survey and develop/implement plans for improvement based on results from Glint and other employee surveys.
  • Manage and maintain branding standards for various RDQ key initiative, and ensure related communications adhere to brand.
  • Help monitor progress against organizational goals including metrics, review of processes, resources required, and recommendations for improvement, as needed.
  • Contribute to general employee/internal communications activities and special initiatives within RDQ or Vertex, as needed.
  • May be required to support in organizational management activities such as resource management tracking, corporate and functional newsletters, tracking and management of department goals and communications related to the RDQA PMO and ACE Portfolio of initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications :

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in corporate communications, content creation and management  with a strong background in internal/employee communications preferred
  • Ability to deliver results with limited direction (ambiguity) and guidance and on tight deadlines; a self-starter
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Visio, Articulate or other communication and presentation software.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated good judgment and collaboration skills
  • Management/leadership experience
  • Experience partnering with HR, Leadership and other functional areas (E.g Extended Leadership Team)
  • Ability to keep information confidential

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Master’s Degree a plus
  • Ability to connect communications work to company objectives
  • Strong negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to take a project from idea to implementation
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities
  • An eye for/experience with corporate branding, graphics, and design

Pay Range

$80-$85/hr
