Logistics Distribution Senior Specialist (Contract)

Seeking independent self-motivated Logistics Senior Specialist to manage the execution of Cold Chain Shipping Verifications. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills needed to ensure accurate records and submission of logistical data as well as flawless delivery execution.

Candidate must be based in the Boston area. Ability to be onsite once a week

12 month contract with possibility to extend

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trade compliance knowledge (EU/Domestic)
• Plans and executes time critical shipments to various Clinical Sites in U.S, Canada and EU
• Oversight of the Cold Chain Shipping Lane Study.
• Protocol generation, execution, vendor collaboration and Data processing
• Document generation and workflow execution within Vertex Documentation system
• Participate Bi-weekly and Monthly Logistic meetings.
• PO management
• Vendor management and oversight required for Cold Chain shippers and courier deliveries.
• Interacts with Chain of Identify software to plan and executive shipments.
• Represents Supply Chain department on assigned project sub-teams and/or task forces and, with guidance, executes supply chain production activities.
• Assists in process improvements to reduce lead-time and execute shipments and eliminate non-value add activities.
• Participates in quality investigations.
• Supports efforts to resolve issues that may block the timely flow of materials or projects.
• Responsible for compliance with regulations such as Good Distribution Practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Exceptional communication skills (Both verbal & written)
• Proven ability to follow procedures for troubleshooting supply problems and escalating issues appropriately.
• Displays emerging ability to effectively meet customer expectations.
• Displays growing knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., GMP. GCP, Part 11).
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and close follow-up on each shipment.
• Ability to resolve logistical issues real-time with cross-functional stakeholder input as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or another relevant field
• Typically requires 5 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Supply Chain and Logistics.

$55 - $60/HR
