Job Description

The Vendor Quality Management Manager (Contract) provides technical and strategic execution for vendor quality, vendor quality processes, and associated governance for the cell and gene therapy business unit.  This role will provide management of several key areas of Vendor Quality Management, including quality agreements, maintaining accurate organizational records, and ensuring data integrity.

 

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

  • Management of vendors and vendor process including onboarding, partnering and collaborating with stakeholders, and oversight of vendor performance. Ensure Vendor Profile Records and Veeva Organizational Records are aligned and up-to-date.   
  • Manage quality agreement process, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements. Track agreements for review and follow up with owners.
  • Ensure audit schedule is aligned with vendor qualification priorities and targets. Engage audit team regularly to ensure VQM documentation is updated
  • Work with partner areas to develop Risk Mitigation Plans as required.
  • Monitors status of GMP certifications for approved vendors.
  • Monitors biannual review status of VCGT Quality Agreements
  • Assist with management of SCARs and vendor interactions.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes which may include quality system process improvements, improving existing methodologies, data generation, report development and presentation.

 

 

Required Education Level

 

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline, operations research, operations management, or a related field

 

Required Knowledge/Skills

 

 

  • Ability to evaluate quality matters and make decisions utilizing risk-based approach
  • Strong technical knowledge including but not limited to: vendor management, risk management, auditing techniques, and quality governance
  • Ability to understand and translate customer needs
  • Proven Ability to lead improvement projects and project teams
  • Superb facilitation, Communication, and Coaching/influencing skills with proven ability to lead teams
  • Experience across multiple GxP areas
  • Proven ability to identify and analyze performance indicators
  • Typically requires 5+ of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

 

 

Hybrid-Eligible Role

 

Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week

 

Pay Range

$65-$70/hr
