Molecular and Cell Biology Senior Research Associate / Principal Research Associate

Role Summary

The Molecular and Cell Biology Senior/Principal Research Associate role involves conducting in vitro studies to evaluate the properties of novel protein therapeutics. The candidate should have hands-on experience with cell cultures, flow cytometry, and immunoassays. The candidate will be part of a highly cross functional group in Seattle.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and execution of experiments, analysis, interpretation of data, and communication to key stakeholders.
  • Perform immunological and cellular bioassays including cell isolation, cell binding, proliferation, immune cell activation, and cytotoxicity assays using methods including flow cytometry, luminescence, live cell imaging, and cytokine analysis (MSD and ELISA).
  • Ensure that a complete and timely record of experiments is maintained in electronic lab notebook
  • Work with colleagues to maintain laboratory in good working order as well as uphold standards of safety.

Required Education Level

  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent degree) in biological science and 0-2 years of relevant employment experience, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent degree) in biological science and 4 + years of relevant employment experience

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Proven technical proficiency and demonstrated skill in independently conducting and interpreting experiments.
  • Experience with execution and data analysis of multi-parameter flow cytometry, Incucyte killing assays and multiplexed cytokine release assays.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative team which is timeline-driven and result orientated is a must.
  • Experience using electronic lab notebooks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in common software and data analysis packages such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), GraphPad Prism, and FlowJo is required.

Pay Range

$60-$70/HR
