Job Description

Senior Manager/Associate Director, Gene Therapy Patient Support & Order Management Communications

 

The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Patient Support & Order Management Communications will be part of the Patient Experience & Customer Operations (PECO) Communications supporting the US Heme Business Unit. This person will be responsible for understanding the treatment journey, patient support program offerings, and order management process and will create associated materials for Care Managers to use with patients and Treatment Center HCPs throughout the CASGEVY treatment journey. You will collaborate with our Operations teams and Marketers to ensure materials meet internal and external stakeholder needs and represent a “One Vertex” voice. You will own material creation with our medical communications and creative agency partners from the brief and project plan stage through legal/medical/regulatory reviews and final execution.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clearly understand and compliantly support the needs of patients going through our gene therapy treatment journey
    • Partner closely with PECO Operations team to identify necessary communication materials and develop, refine, and optimize patient and HCP materials that may include tactics like quick reference guides, videos, training, and talking points
    • Work with agency partner to develop corresponding tactics and bring through legal/medical/regulatory review
    • Define metrics along with tactical development; implement measurement plans and optimize as needed
    • Create a culture of cross-functional collaboration; examples of key internal stakeholders will be marketing, IT, legal, compliance, manufacturing

 

Required Education Level

Bachelor’s Degree

 

Required Experience

5 years of combined educational/work experience

 

Candidates with experience in any of the following preferred

  • Commercial or clinical trial cell or gene therapy experience
  • Experienced working at a transplant center and/or with patients undergoing bone marrow transplant
  • Patient support or marketing experience on a cell or gene therapy product
  • Experience working with patients with sickle cell disease or transfusion-dependent beta thalassemia

 

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multiple teams internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to derive insights from customer engagements and apply them to tactical creation
  • Ability to manage up and across an organization; adeptly identify when/what information to share with leadership and/or cross-functional stakeholders at critical timepoints
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable engaging with diverse audiences ranging from cross-functional colleagues & senior leaders to HCP customers & patient communities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven, environment within a growing business unit where we are concurrently learning & building as we drive towards product launch
  • Experience managing agency partners
  • Experience collaborating offline and managing formal reviews with legal, medical and regulatory partners

 

Pay Range

$90-$100/HR
