Job Description

General/Position Summary

  • The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing multiple department projects, which may vary in scope, but have a discrete focus.
  • This role partners with cross-functional Project Team members to develop plans and manage detailed timelines in accordance with team strategy and project objectives.
  • The incumbent has diverse life-cycle project experience, as well as excellent communication skills to support status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation to stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple departmental projects with a discrete focus
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule, work plan, and budget to execute project goals and other project-related activities
  • Work across departmental functions and interact with functional areas beyond own department
  • Apply a cross-functional lens to identify, analyze, and communicate key project issues/risks, including recommendations to address them
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare minutes for select meetings, and track action items
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to the best practices of project management to support the evolution of the department
  • Interaction with the QA Ops team to ensure the right representation or right information is relayed back to the project team

Required Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required

Required Experience

  • Typically requires 5 years of work experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to manage own workload, drawing on practice/precedent and strong project management skills
  • Ability to adapt to new projects rapidly and work effectively on multiple projects, ensuring alignment with department/corporate goals
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely (verbal and written) across project boundaries, influencing others to take action and adopt different points of view
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships within all levels of the department and throughout the organization
  • Ability to develop and execute plans against overall project goals, identifying key issues and risks for project team and senior-level review
  • Strong design/quality engineering skills with a proven track record in all aspects of the design control process, including functional/design requirements, design verification/validation, and product risk management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality engineering, GMPs (21 CFR 210) (21 CFR 211, QSR (21 CFR 820), Change Control, Supplier Quality, QC inspection, Design Control and Risk Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and program managers.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Development and/or manufacturing experience

 

Pay Range

$85-$90/HR
